Silvercreek Solar Park Inc. is proposing to construct and operate a 10MW ground mounted solar PV installation in Elgin County, Ontario; 9 kilometers south of the Town of Aylmer Ontario. This development will occupy 35 hectares (88 acres) of privately controlled land. The project is being developed as part of the Ontario Power Authority’s (OPA) Feed-in Tariff process and will be subject to the permitting and approval requirements of the Province of Ontario’s Renewable Energy Approvals (REA) Process. Silvercreek Solar Park Inc. has retained ORTECH Environmental to assist them in their permitting and consultation process.
The REA process requires comprehensive stakeholder consultation, which includes posting of draft studies and reports in advance of public meetings and discussions. Public meetings and discussion is an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the project proposal or to communicate concerns.
